Hello and welcome to episode 180 of the Epic Film Guys podcast! Hard to believe we're already knocking on the door of 200 in just a few months. Before that, though, we've got to get on with the show! This week, the God of Podcasting himself returns and he's got movies to review! LoySauce is here to give brief reviews at the top of the show for The Lego Movie 2 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World! Then, in segment two, he and Justin get together to talk about Dan Gilroy's follow up to Nightcrawler with Velvet Buzzsaw and they are less than enthusiastic about the idea.

This week on the show, Justin is once again AWOL, so with no new films to discuss until next week's review of Glass, I decided to start a new series here on the Epic Film Guys with "To the Tens," a retrospective series reviewing the entire decade in film, one year at a time. This week's kick-off episode will cover, appropriately enough, 2010!
Joining me this week to look back at this huge year is a good friend to the show, someone whose voice you've heard time and again- Dan of Netflix 'n Swill is here! We're also joined by two first-time guests on the show. We're thrilled to welcome Ketryn of Kim and Ket Stay Alive... Maybe? and Ryan Terry, who isn't a podcaster but does teach screenwriting at the University of Tampa. We've assembled an eclectic panel to take an in-depth look at 2010 in film with our top fives of the year! Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0. In honor of Perry and Lindsay Johnson we're presenting the full close-out from the event where we were joined by these two amazing people in the wake of Perry's diagnosis with stage IV cancer. Perry's battle with cancer ended less than a week ago as he passed away at home with his wife by his side. Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another Nick-less episode of the Epic Film Guys podcast! Nick is still away until next week's show, but Justin and the Sauce won't have to do the heavy lifting alone as they've recruited Gerald from Two Peas on a Podcast to fill in. In the FREE patron-only segment this week, he and the guys will discuss what does and doesn't make something a Christmas movie in response to our Facebook poll earlier this week about Batman Returns.
In the main show, Gerald and the Sauce are dropping a review of The Favourite starring Olivia Colman, Rachel Weisz, and Emma Stone! Then we're on to the main review where all three of the guys will go in-depth on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and one of our panelists drops a perfect rating on the film! Before we roll out on the show, however, LoySauce also has a quick blurb about his early screening of Aquaman, and you won't want to miss it.

While in college he studied film as part of a film studies minor and made a couple short films. It's that time of year again when things get SPOOKY! We're rolling out all the Halloween stops all month long to celebrate the month of horror and one of our favorite months of the year, and we're also celebrating the start of our fourth annual Epic Film Guys Horror Challenge! That's right, it's OCTOBER, and... wait a minute, where's Justin?
For the second year in a row I'm kicking off the month of October sans-Justin and sans-Saucey, the two biggest horror fans on the show by far, as Justin is in Washington D.c. watching an early release of First Man and the Sauce is in Los Angeles at the world premiere of Best F(r)iends hanging out with Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero! Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0! On (most) Mondays through the rest of 2018, we'll be releasing the audio from most of the segments of the event for you to listen back to and enjoy, and for those of you who missed them the first time around.

This year we smashed our goal and raised over $5,500 for the Cancer Research Institute, much of which will be matched by them for a total of almost $11,000 raised to help fight cancer. We were thrilled to be joined by Nathan and Brendan of the What Were They Thinking? podcast, who review the absolute worst of the worst and ask... What Were They Thinking?! During the Livestream for the Cure they brought a truly terrible piece of the early 90s with them in the form of the Cartoon All-Stars Anti-Drug PSA "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue," which featured many prominent cartoon characters of the day teaching us the importance of not using drugs. It has been quite some time since we've done an actual crossover and even longer since we've had our good friends Dave and Jay from the Super Movie Bros podcast on the show! The Boy Who Lived was brought to life from 2001 to 2010 over eight films that chronicled his growing up to realize his place and his position within the wizarding world, and we're going back to visit every.single.one.

It's time for another week of the Epic Film Guys podcast as we turn our full attention toward October and the horror season... but we're not there yet! Harry Potter! The Boy Who Lived was brought to life from 2001 to 2010 over eight films that chronicled his growing up
to realize his place and his position within the wizarding world, and we're going back to visit every.single.one.

Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0! On (most) Mondays through the rest of 2018, we'll be releasing the audio from most of the segments of the event for you to listen back to and enjoy, and for those of you who missed them the first time around.

He took 64 movies made in the 90s and shuffled them into a bracket, and then it was up to each of us to pick a winner in each matchup until we reached our absolute best 90s movie! Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes! Welcome to a brand new week of the Epic Film Guys podcast, where we're serving up something just a little different... a much, much shorter runtime. With over three years in the game, we've stuck to pretty much the same format for the past two and a half years. Segments come, and segments go, but we've really hovered around 90-100 minutes per episode and it's time to make a change. My goal going forward for the time being will be to release an Epic Film Guys experience that is just 60 minutes long, to not only give you guys more time to listen to other great shows, but to be more inviting to new, would-be listeners. Let us know what you think of this change!
This week, it's time to prepare for the rest of 2018, which we're doing with the announcement of a fitness challenge this September! Every 25 miles accumulated by the community is another movie you can make me watch! Anything goes!!! We'll be giving away a ton of prizes as well. We also talk about the upcoming 31 Day Horror Challenge and Never-Seen-It November, two EFG staples, and the pending return of Charles Bronson with BRONCEMBER. We've also got a ton of guests lined up or being lined up and collaborations galore. It's gonna be a busy four months to close out the year!
Justin didn't go to the movies at all this week, but Nick picked up the slack and watched FOUR films!! This week's featured review is Crazy Rich Asians, a film that already landed on Nick's top five of the year so far, and we get reviews-in-brief of Blockers, Game Night, and Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs. Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0! On (most) Mondays through the rest of 2018, we'll be releasing the audio from most of the segments of the event for you to listen back to and enjoy, and for those of you who missed them the first time around.

This year we smashed our goal and raised over $5,500 for the Cancer Research Institute, much of which will be matched by them for a total of almost $11,000 raised to help fight cancer. This week's special segment is the second of two segments we recorded with Paul from The Countdown Movie & TV Reviews, as we play a fun trivia game of Guess Paul's Rating! Paul and I put together a list of films for him to rate out of 100 points (which I keep forgetting) and our audience in the chat had to guess, with the closest getting one point and anyone guessing exactly getting three points. Last week, we took a trip back and visited a masterpiece of cinema and a film whose cultural impact is still felt today in Jaws. This week, with the help of the God of Podcasting himself, we review the latest film influenced by Spielberg's shark film in The Meg, which was sold to us as a fun tongue-in-cheek romp against a prehistoric mega-shark (or megaladon). How did it turn out? Well, let's just say that the total scores across the panel wouldn't even be a perfect score.

San Diego Comic Con has landed and it has dumped a treasure trove of trailers in its wake! Welcome everyone to a very special minisode presentation from the Livestream for the Cure 2.0! On (most) Mondays through the rest of 2018, we'll be releasing the audio from most of the segments of the event for you to listen back to and enjoy, and for those of you who missed them the first time around.

This year we smashed our goal and raised over $5,500 for the Cancer Research Institute, much of which will be matched by them for a total of almost $11,000 raised to help fight cancer. Welcome everyone to episode 152 of the Epic Film Guys podcast!! This week, Justin is missing in action, so I had to call in some replacements to fill in for him! Joining me on the show this week is our good friend Director Brenic from Netflix 'n Swill, which just celebrated 100 episodes; an old friend we haven't seen in awhile in John, former host of Now in Technicolor and now with Fuzzy Dan on Who Spiked The Puns; and a newcomer to the Epic Film Guys, Miles, who co-hosts the Miles & Crawford Variety Hour!
This week on the show, Dan and I take turns bashing Chinese Die Hard AKA Skyscraper AKA Rock Hard AKA Die Hard, but it takes place in Hong Kong and stars The Rock. We dig into this mediocre pile that co-stars Neve Campbell right at the top of the show. The big news this week, however, is that The Dark Knight has turned 10 years old this week, so our entire panel is here to celebrate the film and discuss its legacy.
