Episode 107 - Rise at Dawn: An Apes Retrospective

This week is one that myself and Justin have long waited for, as we both finally got to see War for the Planet of the Apes, my #1 most-anticipated film of the year. Unfortunately, due to some internet issues on Justin's side, we actually had to wait an extra day to record the review, which will be released as a minisode in the very near future.

That actually worked out well for our guest this evening, who is no stranger to listeners of this podcast. We are thrilled to welcome back Paul from The Countdown Movie and TV reviews to the show, and he's here to help us take a look back at Rise and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in our full retrospective. We also kick off the show with a tribute by Paul and Justin to the late George A. Romero, and we've also got lots of extra fun packed in! While in college he studied film as part of a film studies minor and made a couple short films. He handles the sound production and editing of the show as well as its release and manages the twitter account @EpicFilmGuys.

Epic Film Guy Justin lives in a suburb of Washington D.C. after moving from the Binghamton, NY area with his wife and daughter.
